Product Overview
Built for water damage restoration and remediation professionals, the Dri-Eaz Protimeter SurveyMaster Moisture Detector searches for the presence of moisture in various building materials including drywall, wood, siding, tile, insulation, and carpeting. Designed with 2 technologies in 1, this non-invasive meter can find moisture with pinpoint accuracy or scan larger areas for accurate mapping. Easy to hold and simple to operate, it’s a user friendly device.
Two Detection Types
Use the Dri-Eaz Moisture Meter’s pin mode to test for moisture in materials like drywall or wood, or if you want know if a stain on a ceiling is still retaining moisture or has been repaired. Two sharp pins penetrate a maximum of 0.4 inches into surfaces. An electrical current passes between the 2 pins and the amount of resistance is relayed to you as a moisture reading.
For a quick survey of the moisture level in walls and floors, or to determine if there’s areas that may require further investigation, this sensor is also equipped with search mode. Also great for areas like wallpaper where inserting pins isn’t practical, it’ll emit electromagnetic signals to measure moisture content up to 0.75 inches below the surface.
Track Changes Over Time
In both modes, the Dri-Eaz SurveyMaster Moisture Meter is equipped with reference mode. Useful for seeing if remediation actions have been successful, original moisture level readings are stored and then subsequent readings will be displayed below the original so you can see if levels are above or below the original point.
